1985
- Construct Furniture was established by founders Mr. John Agius and Mrs. Bridget Agius with an initial vision to deliver quality-crafted furniture solutions tailored to the local market’s needs.
1990
The brand was formally trademarked, reinforcing its identity and commitment to growth as a trusted Maltese furniture manufacturer.
1995
Due to increasing demand, the company expanded its existing premises, enhancing both its manufacturing capabilities and showroom space.
2000
Marking its first international expansion, Construct Furniture entered the Libyan market with a presence in Tripoli, setting the stage for regional growth.
2000
The company diversified its product range by introducing BS-certified 30-minute fire-retardant doors, developed to meet stringent UK safety standards and support expansion into the British market.
2015
Recognised nationally for excellence, Construct Furniture received the prestigious Best Manufacturing Company award at the BIB Awards.
2019
A strategic restructuring introduced new teams in Malta and Jordan, enhancing operational efficiency and expanding regional capabilities.
2020
The company attained ISO 9001:2015 certification, reflecting its commitment to maintaining internationally recognised standards in quality management.
2022
A full redesign of the Malta showroom was undertaken alongside a refreshed and modernised product range to better reflect market trends and customer needs.
2023
Construct Furniture made its debut in the Gulf region, opening new business opportunities in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
2024
Expanded its certified door range to include high-performance door sets rated under European and British standards. Certifications include fire ratings up to EI60 (EN 1634-1, EN 13501-2), smoke control for both hot and cold conditions (EN 1634-3), and acoustic insulation up to 34dB (ISO 717-1, ISO 10140-2), reinforcing Construct Furniture’s commitment to quality, safety, and international compliance.
2024
After an extensive refurbishment, the Tripoli showroom was relaunched, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the Libyan market.
2025
Partnered with SAHS to officially enter the Ghanaian market, continuing its strategy of international expansion across the African continent.

A comprehensive rebrand is currently underway, refreshing the company’s visual identity, messaging, and brand assets to better reflect its evolved vision, expanded international presence, and future-facing product portfolio.
