1985
- Construct Furniture was established by founders Mr John Agius and Mrs Bridget Agius, with a vision to deliver quality-crafted furniture solutions tailored to Malta’s residential and commercial needs. What began as a local workshop quickly grew into a trusted Maltese manufacturing brand known for craftsmanship and reliability.
1990
The brand was formally trademarked in Malta, reinforcing our identity as a trusted local furniture and door manufacturer and marking an important step in our long-term commitment to quality and innovation within the Maltese market.
1995
Growing demand across Malta led to the expansion of our Luqa premises, increasing both our manufacturing capacity and showroom space. This investment strengthened our ability to serve Maltese households and businesses with a wider range of custom furniture and door solutions.
2000
Marking its first international expansion, Construct Furniture introduced its Maltese-made products to the Libyan market with a dedicated presence in Tripoli. This milestone strengthened the company’s regional footprint and opened new opportunities for cross-border growth.
2000
Construct Furniture expanded its product range by introducing BS-certified 30-minute fire-retardant doors, engineered to meet strict UK safety standards. This development positioned the company as one of Malta’s early adopters of certified fire-door solutions and paved the way for further innovation in specialised door systems.
2015
Recognised at the national level for excellence in quality and manufacturing, Construct Furniture received the prestigious Best Manufacturing Company award at Malta’s BIB Awards, reinforcing its reputation as a leading Maltese producer of furniture and doors.
2019
A strategic restructuring strengthened our operations in both Malta and Jordan, introducing new specialised teams to improve efficiency, expand project capacity, and support the company’s growing regional footprint.
2020
Construct Furniture attained ISO 9001:2015 certification, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality, consistency, and internationally recognised standards. This achievement reinforced our position as one of Malta’s most reliable manufacturers for large-scale furniture and door projects.
2022
A full redesign of the Malta showroom introduced a modern and immersive customer experience, accompanied by an expanded product portfolio developed to reflect evolving interior trends and the needs of Maltese households and businesses.
2023
Construct Furniture made its debut in the Gulf region, opening new opportunities in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. This expansion marked a significant step in bringing Maltese-made furniture and specialised door solutions to a wider international market.
2024
Construct Furniture expanded its certified product line to include EN-rated high-performance door sets compliant with both European and British standards. Certifications cover fire ratings up to EI60 (EN 1634-1, EN 13501-2), smoke control for hot and cold conditions (EN 1634-3), and acoustic attenuation up to 34dB (ISO 717-1, ISO 10140-2), reinforcing Construct Furniture’s commitment to quality, safety, and international compliance.
2024
Following an extensive refurbishment, the Tripoli showroom was relaunched, strengthening our long-standing presence in the Libyan market and enhancing regional accessibility to Maltese-made furniture and door solutions.
2025
Construct Furniture partnered with SAHS to officially enter the Ghanaian market, extending the reach of Maltese-made furniture and specialised door solutions into West Africa. This partnership supports the company’s ongoing strategy for international expansion across the African continent.

A comprehensive company rebrand is currently underway, evolving Construct Furniture’s visual identity, messaging, and brand assets to better reflect its growth, strengthened manufacturing presence in Malta, and expanding international portfolio.
